All beads are made on a 3/32" mandrel unless otherwise stated.
All beads are annealed in a digitally controlled paragon bluebird kiln.
You can expect all round beads to have smooth puckered bead holes that are perfect for stringing on delicate material.
Depending on the shape, not all beads can have puckered ends. If this is the case, the ends will never be jagged and will not be sharp.
I work in both American Made Borosilicate and American Made "soft glass"
Boro
Boro or borosilicate, is a unique kind of glass. It is about 2 1/2 times stronger than soft glass. It features some amazing qualities that make me love it. Most boro colors are more organic that what you will see in soft glass. Colors can shift depending on the angles you view them at. Veils of beautiful colors that seem to glow are possible. Boro is very magical.
Many boro colors appear different depending on the lighting it is viewed in. It is best viewed in direct sunlight where you will see bright vivid colors. Indoors, under household lighting, boro can look darker. All photos on this site are taken in simulated full spectrum lighting.
Soft glass
Typically more vibrant, "what you see is what you get" with many more color choices then borosilicate.
